Mall Show, February 4, 2006

The Scouts adapted an idea from a Camporee and built a “Snapper Fishing” both for the Mall Show. With adult’s monitoring the use of power tools, they built a 4x4x8-foot booth that was easily dissembled and transported.
The “Snappers” were mousetraps that the Scouts had to reset and place in the bottom of the both.
Cubs and visits at the Mall Show were given fishing rods made of dowels, string, and a heavy washer. The contest was to catch as many “Snappers” as you can.
It was not as easy as it looked. All the visitors enjoyed the both, and a lot of them got away.
