Lee Eagle Project, Loganville Elementary School, April, 2009

For his Eagle Project, Lee approached his former Elementary School and discussed some ideas. They settled for a project landscaping an area in front of the school. This area surrounding the flagpole had a problem with any amount of rain it flooded, making it difficult and often unsafe for students and staff to raise and lower the flag. Working closely with the school, Lee was able to arrange a fundraiser, get the materials, and schedule help from Scouts in the troop to solve this problem, and create a beautiful garden around the flagpole. The new area and path eliminate the water problems, and care was taken to make sure the runoff did not cause additional erosion or other issues.
